Weiramon Saniago was a Tairen High Lord whose oiled beard and strutting manner matched an exaggerated opinion of his own abilities that made him a poor choice for any command requiring more than a headlong charge.

Weiramon Saniago ranked among the great lords of Tear, and he let no one within earshot forget it. In the war camps gathered against the Shaido, where Tairen, Cairhienin, and Aiel forces lay within sight of Cairhien, he moved attended by Tairen lords of his own and spoke with the confidence of a man untroubled by doubt.

His warcraft was simple. Cavalry answered every question, and answered it best at once: he pressed for the immediate charge even with Aiel numbers standing overwhelming against his own, and he waved off any threat from Illian as unworthy of serious attention.

Precedence ordered his world. Among the Aiel clan chiefs, who arranged themselves by no ranking he recognized, that order failed him, and his unease showed whenever custom could not tell him where a High Lord ought to stand. It was Bael who could settle him into a place he would accept, and even then he accepted it stiffly.
