Void
A trick of concentration used by archers, swordsmen and channelers alike: every thought and fear fed into an imagined candle flame until nothing is left but the target.
The Void is a trick of concentration that an archer, a swordsman and a channeler each learn in their own way. The image is a single candle flame. Everything the mind is carrying goes into it, fear and anger and the thought of dying, until nothing is left but the target and the emptiness around it, and what remains sees clearly and moves without hesitating. It costs something. Inside the Void the body reports at a distance, so cold, exhaustion and a serious wound all arrive as news about somebody else, and a man can watch himself bleed to death with mild interest.
