True Power
A source of power drawn from the Dark One rather than the True Source, undivided between male and female, and available only to the few channelers he permits to wield it.
The True Power is a source of energy that comes from the Dark One rather than the force that drives the Wheel of Time. It is not split into male and female halves that work with and against each other; it is one reservoir that a channeler of either sex can draw on, and only those the Dark One permits can touch it. Its discovery belongs to the Age of Legends, when researchers at the Collam Daan, hoping for one power source that men and women could wield equally, breached the barrier holding it and destroyed the Sharom in the explosion that followed. Because only those sworn to the Shadow can reach it, little about it is known for certain. It can be woven much as saidar and saidin are, but it betrays its chaotic origin in the doing, and it appears more destructive than the One Power. It has no fixed limit either: how much a channeler holds is a matter of what the Dark One grants.
