Trolloc
Trollocs are the Shadow's soldiers, man-beast crossings created in the Age of Legends, huge, cruel, and carnivorous, forming the bulk of the Dark One's armies in the Blight.
Trollocs attack Emond's Field in the opening chapters of The Eye of the World, and they serve as the Shadow's foot soldiers. They are creatures twisted together from human and animal stock in the Age of Legends, standing head and shoulders above a tall man, human frames distorted by horns, snouts, feathers, or hooves. Trollocs are cruel, carnivorous, and lazy, killing for pleasure and eating what they kill, human or otherwise. They fight in tribelike bands under standards such as the iron fist of the Dhai'mon, and for all their strength they are cowards without something worse behind them, so the eyeless Myrddraal drive them into battle. South of the Borderlands most folk believe them a fireside myth, a comfort the Two Rivers loses in a single night.
