Therava

Therava held her place among the Wise Ones of the Shaido, one of the clans of the Aiel, and she was to be found in the great camp that stood outside the city of Cairhien, far from the Aiel Waste her people called home. It was a crowded and uneasy camp, holding Wise Ones of many clans besides her own: Amys, Bair, and Sorilea among them, along with clan chiefs such as Rhuarc and Maidens of the Spear. Women of the Wise Ones' standing made the settlement as much a seat of counsel as a spread of tents.

Within the Shaido, the Wise Ones gathered around Sevanna, and it was in that company that Therava kept her place; whatever counsel the clan's Wise Ones held among themselves, she was part of it. She belonged to the Shaido first and wholly, whatever the press of other clans around her. Among the many women of authority camped near Cairhien, her position was plainly held: a Wise One of her clan, standing in Sevanna's circle.
