The Wheel of Time Companion
An encyclopedia of the series published in November 2015, written by Harriet McDougal with Maria Simons and Alan Romanczuk and drawn from Robert Jordan's unpublished notes.
The Wheel of Time Companion is an encyclopedia of the series, published in November 2015. Harriet McDougal, Robert Jordan's editor and widow, wrote it with Maria Simons and Alan Romanczuk, both of whom worked as his assistants and fact checkers through most of the novels, and it draws heavily on his unpublished notes and outlines. It is the second guide to the series rather than a revision of the first. Where the 1997 volume spoke in the voice of a Third Age historian, this one is plainly a reference work, with entries on the characters, a thousand word vocabulary of the Old Tongue, new maps and new portraits.
