Saerin Asnobar
Saerin Asnobar is an Altaran Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah and a Sitter in the Hall of the Tower, fiercer than most of her scholar sisters, with an Ebou Dari dagger at her belt and a scar on her cheek to match.
Saerin Asnobar has held a chair in the Hall of the Tower for forty years. The Hall is where the White Tower governs itself, where each Ajah seats its Sitters and the great questions of Tar Valon get argued through; chairs there change hands, and hers does not. She is a Brown, seated for an Ajah of scholars, and she has heard a great deal of argument in her time.
Lately her attention has gone to darker work than any argument in the Hall. With three other Sitters, Talene, Yukiri, and Doesine, she is investigating the Black Ajah from inside the White Tower, an inquiry the four of them run quietly and on no authority but their own. A suspicion like that is dangerous even to say aloud in Tar Valon, so the work moves in silence, one careful step at a time.
It is work that suits her. She has the nerve for it, and the Hall taught her the patience long ago.
