Rodel Ituralde
Rodel Ituralde is a Domani general accounted among the great captains of the age, a small, dandified, meticulous man whose soldiers call him the Wolf.
Rodel Ituralde enters The Wheel of Time in The Path of Daggers. He is a lord and soldier of Arad Doman, a veteran of the Aiel War, and by common reckoning one of the five great captains, the handful of living generals whose names are weighed wherever war is studied. Nothing about his appearance advertises it. Ituralde is short and slender, gray more than dark, a careful dandy who curls his hair, tends thin mustaches, wears rings and a ruby in one ear, and places a beauty mark with the same precision he gives a line of battle. The habits of mind underneath earn the name his soldiers use, the Wolf: patience, exact preparation, and a taste for making an enemy pay the highest possible price for every foot of ground. He is married to Tamsin Ituralde, and his loyalty to Arad Doman and its king is plain, old fashioned, and complete.
