Pevara Tazanovni makes her home in the Red quarters of the White Tower, in the city of Tar Valon, where she has spent her long years of service among her sisters. Her conviction has a private root. Darkfriends murdered her family, and that loss has never faded; it stands behind every choice she has made since. For Pevara, Darkfriends have never been a distant evil or a matter of doctrine. They took her family from her, and she has carried that knowledge through all her time in the Tower.
Among her ties within those white walls, one of the oldest is her friendship with Seaine. It is a warm bond of many years, and it has lasted through everything the Tower has asked of them both. Pevara holds to it quietly and without show. Whatever else her position demands of her, she knows exactly why she serves.
