Naeff
Naeff is an Andoran Asha'man, a former member of the Queen's Guards with a rare strength in Air weaves and enough power to open Gateways on his own.
Naeff belongs to the working circle around Rand al'Thor. Wherever the Dragon Reborn's business runs, an Asha'man is wanted close at hand, and Naeff is often the one in attendance: the Aiel camp in Arad Doman, the streets and docks of Bandar Eban, the Stone of Tear. He frequently works alongside Flinn, a fellow Asha'man in the same service, and the soldiering of his earlier life still shows in how readily he takes an order and carries it out.
He does that work while carrying something most soldiers never have to. Naeff is afflicted by a peculiar madness, one that makes him perceive threats no one else can see. It is a heavy thing for any man; even so, he remains obedient, remains willing to assist the people he serves, and remains useful in the ways a capable soldier is useful. Naeff pays the cost that comes with what he is, and he keeps working.
