Merana Ambrey

Merana Ambrey comes from Salidar, the small village that has become a gathering place for Aes Sedai standing apart from the White Tower during the Tower's division. Her present business lies in Caemlyn, where her party of nine sisters keeps rooms at The Crown of Roses while Rand al'Thor holds the Royal Palace in the Inner City. With her are Kairen Stang, Rafela Cindal, Seonid Traighan, Faeldrin Harella, Demira Eriff, Berenicia Morsad, Masuri Sokawa, and Valinde Nathenos, and their purpose is to win the Dragon Reborn's support for the sisters they left behind.

It is delicate work by its nature. Among Aes Sedai, precedence follows its own quiet rules, and several of the sisters in Merana's charge carry considerable weight of their own; holding such a party together, and keeping it pointed at its purpose, is a labor in itself. She manages it from an inn rather than a palace, an emissary waiting on the goodwill of a man she has never met. Her commission, at least, is plain: to bring the Dragon Reborn to Salidar's side.
