Meira
Meira was a Wise One of the White Cliff sept among the Shaido Aiel, a woman of grim bearing and hard blue eyes who could channel with considerable strength.
Meira held a place among the Shaido's Wise Ones that few other women could claim. When Sevanna drew Wise Ones apart and kept the number deliberately small, Meira was one of those called in. The others in that company were Tion, Modarra, Alarys, Rhiale, Someryn, and Belinde: with Meira, seven women in all, and no one else besides.
She came to that standing from the White Cliff sept, though what such gatherings weighed was the business of the whole Shaido, never any one sept alone. The meetings themselves needed no grand setting. A small clearing in the forest served quite as well as anywhere, because what mattered was the company, not the ground. Seven such women and Sevanna made a council wherever they stood.
Sevanna stood at the center of those gatherings. Meira was among the seven around her, and hers was one voice of the few the Shaido's business required.
