Last Battle

Tarmon Gai'don is the battle the prophecies promise at the end of the age, the final confrontation between the Dark One and the forces of the Light. The fullest account lies in the Karaethon Cycle, the Prophecies of the Dragon, which bind the battle to the coming of the Dragon Reborn, the prophesied champion born again to face the Shadow. What the prophecies describe is dreaded as much as hoped for. They warn that if the Dark One prevails he will break free of his prison and remake the world and time in his own image, and they offer no plain answer as to how the battle ends, a silence that scholars and common folk alike have argued over for three thousand years.
