Kandor is one of the Borderland kingdoms that face the Blight, and like the rest of them it forbids anyone to keep a face covered inside town walls.
All through the past winter, Lord Agelmar says, Trollocs out of the Blight raid it along with its neighbours, harder and larger than anything since the Trolloc Wars. The Borderland rulers, its own among them, have told their lancers to hold their own ground, though Agelmar hopes word of a desperate ride north will draw riders from it anyway. In older days its soldiers stood with Shienar and Arafel and threw the Shadowspawn back at the Stair of Jehaan.
