Juilin Sandar

Juilin Sandar has the look of a man carved out of old wood. He is lean and in his middle years, with short black hair lying flat on his head. His quick dark eyes rove over every detail of a room, and over everyone in it. He wears clogs, a flat, conical straw hat and a brown coat with a belt over it.

A swordbreaker hangs from the belt, with short slots on either side of its long one. He also carries a staff that matches his own height and is hardly thicker than his thumb. It is made of bamboo, a pale, ridged wood, stronger than it looks, that oxdrivers use for their goads.
