Gaul
Gaul is a Stone Dog of the Imran sept of the Shaarad Aiel, first encountered caged in the town of Remen after being captured by a group of hunters of the horn led by Lord Orban.
Gaul is a long way from his own people. What drew him out of the Aiel lands is a search: he seeks He Who Comes With the Dawn, and the seeking points toward Tear. Nor is it a private errand, for other Aiel are engaged in the same search. He did not travel alone either; another Aiel, Sarien, was taken alongside him.
As a fighter he is all economy, graceful and exact, with nothing wasted. For now the cage that holds him stands in Remen's square, and he has been inside it for more than a day.
None of that has reached the man inside. Gaul carries a dry humor and a philosophical turn of mind, and he takes a real interest in the ways of peoples not his own, weighing their customs against those of the Aiel, offering his own perspective on the differences, and finding a fair amount in them to amuse him.
