Faolain Orande is one of the Accepted at the Tower in Tar Valon, a dark, curly-haired young woman with a round face.
Faolain Orande wears the Great Serpent ring, which a novice normally needs years to earn. The shawl of a full Aes Sedai lies further off. Novices are expected to obey her almost as quickly as they obey Aes Sedai. She has no love for flagrant rule-breakers, and less for wilders, women who could channel before they ever came to Tar Valon. On her tongue the word wilder sounds like a curse.
