Edesina Azzedin

Edesina Azzedin comes out of the White Tower at Tar Valon, where she spent her earliest days. The Tower of those years was a crowded, ordered place: galleries overlooking its halls, the West Stable below, gates such as the Sunset Gate and the Alindaer Gate opening onto the streets of the city. Beyond the walls, the Alindaer Bridge carried travelers out toward the village of Alindaer and the countryside past it, and Tower Guards under bannermen like Steler saw parties safely along those roads.

It was a world thick with people as well as stone. Merean Sedai held the office of Mistress of Novices, and the Tower's residents in those days included women such as Meidani, Brendas, Katerine Alruddin, Carlinya, and Alanna Mosvani; Edesina was one of that number. She did not stand at the center of Tower affairs. She lived and worked inside its walls, doing what all the Tower's women did.

Long before Salidar, Edesina's whole world was the Tower and the city that held it.
