Dueling blades

Duelling blades were the tools of sha'je, a violent contest that grew popular during the Collapse, when the Dark One's influence woke the darker side of human nature and society began to rot. Each duellist carried twin blades, the right called aran'gar and the left osan'gar. In the years just before the final fall into war, murder, rape and even torture became regular parts of many spectator sports, and this game was among the most vicious of them: both blades were coated with a slow poison, so that even the victor seldom survived. That alone has led many to think the game was started, or at least kept alive, by Friends of the Dark.
