Demandred

Demandred was, at first, no more than a name. In Tel'aran'rhiod, the World of Dreams, where reflections of every place in the waking world drift and shift, the Forsaken had grown more active, and his name stood in their number, beside Lanfear, Rahvin, Sammael, Graendal, Semirhage, and Moghedien. Birgitte, the legendary hero bound to the Wheel who walked that world between her lives, kept watch on such movements and counted him among those moving through it.

That was the whole of his presence then: a word passed quietly in a dangerous place, with no face and no voice attached to it. The company the name kept gave it its weight. These were figures out of the Age of Legends, and the woman who spoke of them did so carefully, in a world where hidden dangers waited for the unwary and even a legend measured her words. Whatever Demandred was doing there, he did it unseen, one shadow among six others.
