Delana Mosalaine was a Sitter of the Salidar Hall and an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah, a stout Shienaran woman whose pale eyes had a way of fixing on a person until they began cataloguing their own wrongdoings.

Delana Mosalaine held her chair in a Hall that convened far from Tar Valon, in the village of Salidar, where Aes Sedai in rebellion against the White Tower had gathered and raised their own seat of authority in a building they called the Little Tower. She sat there among Sitters such as Janya Frende, Romanda Cassin, and Lelaine Akashi, one voice in a body whose deliberations touched everything from Caemlyn to Cairhien.

Her manner in the Hall's business was direct to the point of harshness. When information was wanted, Delana demanded it outright, and she made certain that a woman under questioning understood how unpleasant matters could become if anything was held back. Even when another sister, Janya among them, nominally led an inquiry, the hardest questions came from Delana.

That was no accident. She worked close to the handful of sisters who steered Salidar's plans, and the questions she pressed served purposes the village at large never heard discussed. In a place where every sister measured her own words, Delana preferred to weigh other people's.
