Choedan Kal
Two immense sa'angreal of the Age of Legends, one male and one female, holding more of the One Power than any channeler can take directly and worked instead through ter'angreal access keys.
The Choedan Kal are two enormous sa'angreal made during the Age of Legends, one shaped as a man and keyed to saidin, the other shaped as a woman and keyed to saidar. Each holds more of the One Power than any channeler could survive drawing through it by hand, so both were built for use at a distance through small ter'angreal called access keys. The male statue is being dug out of the ground near the village of Tremonsien in Cairhien. During the War of Power one faction argued for wielding them through the keys to drive back the Shadow and wall off Shayol Ghul, but statues and keys alike were lost to the advancing armies before that plan could be attempted.
