Cha Faile
Falcon's Talon in the Old Tongue: some two dozen young Tairen and Cairhienin nobles sworn to Lady Faile Bashere, who dress in men's clothing and copy the ways of the Aiel.
Cha Faile is a phrase from the Old Tongue meaning Falcon's Talon, or Falcon's Claw. It is the name taken by a cadre of young men and women, most of them nobles out of Tear and Cairhien, who attached themselves to the Lady Faile Bashere and are fanatically loyal to her. They number some two dozen, and they set out to imitate the Aiel way of life. All of them dress in men's clothing and wear a sword at the hip, and men and women alike wear their hair to the shoulders, gathered back with a ribbon in imitation of the Aiel tail. Many of the women began as Maidens of the Sword, which offended a fair number of the Aiel stationed in Cairhien. They are considered arrogant in everything, down to the way they walk, the women more so than the men.
