Brown Ajah
The Brown Ajah is one of the Ajahs of the Aes Sedai, and a curious sister who longs to learn more of the Aiel is teased that she belongs among the Browns.
When Moiraine walks into a room of the keep, the two Browns there, Serafelle and Verin Mathwin, never look up: Serafelle handles a tattered old book with great care, while plump Verin sketches a flower and jots notes, her inkpot on the floor. Moiraine sometimes wonders whether Browns notice the world around them at all, and the Amyrlin quips that only a Brown could miss the Tower losing its grip. Hurin recalls a Brown sister in Cairhien who kept him a month puzzling over his gift for scent.
