Beonin Marinye is a Taraboner Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah, one of the small circle of women quietly steering the exiled community at Salidar.

Beonin Marinye holds a seat in the council of sisters that governs day-to-day life in Salidar, alongside Sheriam, Anaiya, Carlinya, Morvrin, and Myrelle. The village they oversee is a small place of inns and kitchens with forest close about it, but the business conducted there is anything but small: the sisters gathered in Salidar stand opposed to Elaida's authority in Tar Valon, and little of consequence in the community happens without first passing through this circle for weighing. Beonin's is one of the six voices doing the weighing.

Her Ajah suits her turn of mind. She is exact, persistent, and unwilling to let a question rest half-answered, and no question grips her like the matter of the broken seal on the Dark One's prison. Cuendillar is supposed to be indestructible; that a seal made of it could shatter at all is, to her, a fact that demands explanation, and she presses for that explanation with a doggedness her sisters have learned to expect. Among women practiced at patience, Beonin stands out for how little of it she spares an unsolved problem.
