Aviendha
Aviendha was a fierce young Maiden of the Spear of the Bitter Water sept, proud in ji'e'toh and deadly with her weapons, before the Wise Ones of the Taardad Aiel set her on a harder path.
Aviendha carried herself with the assurance of a woman long accustomed to her weapons and to the company of those who bore them. Among her spear-sisters, women such as Bain, Chiad, Jolien, and Dailin, she moved with an easy confidence, fierce in combat and in feeling alike, and exacting about honor. Ji'e'toh shaped every judgment she made, the intricate reckoning of obligation and shame that governed her people, and she held to it with a pride that admitted no compromise.
Her loyalty ran deep and personal. Those close to her could count on a devotion as sharp as any spear, and she extended it without hesitation, even when it cost her. She was Taardad Aiel, of the Bitter Water sept, one of a people who followed clan chiefs such as Rhuarc, and she knew the old accounts of her folk well, including the ancient prohibitions that bound the Aiel never to harm Aes Sedai, a debt reaching back through generations of service and failure.
Restraint sat alongside the ferocity, a discipline as practiced as her aim. She could be deadly and still measured, proud and still careful, a young Maiden whose honor was the whole architecture of her life.
