Alviarin Freidhen
Alviarin Freidhen is an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah, cool and businesslike in her lessons, sharp in her criticisms, and notably unmoved by the feelings of those around her.
Alviarin Freidhen travels in company that few sisters ever share. Her place is in the traveling party of the Amyrlin Seat herself, Siuan Sanche, on the long road from Fal Dara to Medo. The procession around her is thick with Aes Sedai of standing, Leane Sharif, Verin Mathwin, Alanna Mosvani, Anaiya, and Liandrin among them. A place in such a column is not granted lightly, and Alviarin holds hers as a matter of course.
The road doubles as a schoolroom. Two young women travel with the party, Egwene al'Vere and Nynaeve, and the sisters take turns teaching them to channel as the column moves. It is patient, repetitive work, shared among many hands, and each Aes Sedai brings her own temperament to it; Alviarin brings the White Ajah's.
Fal Dara falls away behind them, mile by mile. The Amyrlin's road, and so Alviarin's, ends at Medo.
