A wide stretch of disputed country between Tarabon and Arad Doman, its people known for fleece-lined coats and bright embroidered spirals, with Toman Head and Falme on its western edge.
Almoth Plain is a broad stretch of country between Tarabon and Arad Doman, claimed by both and firmly held by neither. Men there wear full-sleeved shirts, baggy trousers and knee-length vests, women wear long dresses, and both wear long sheepskin coats with the fleece turned in, the clothing usually decorated with brightly colored spirals embroidered across the chest. On Toman Head, at the western edge of the region, there is an old belief that the armies Artur Hawkwing sent across the Aryth Ocean centuries ago will one day return, and the Watchers Over the Waves keep towers on the cliffs above the harbor at Falme to watch the sea for them.
