Alanna Mosvani

Alanna Mosvani belonged to the White Tower in Tar Valon in the days when Tamra Ospenya held the Amyrlin Seat. Her daily world was the Tower's own: quarters and galleries, the Oval Lecture Hall, the West Stable, and the streets that ran down to the Sunset Gate and the Alindaer Gate. Past the Alindaer Bridge lay Alindaer itself and the open countryside, and beyond the city stood Dragonmount.

She shared the Tower with a great many women: Moiraine Damodred, Siuan Sanche, Myrelle Berengari, Verin, Merean, and Katerine Alruddin among them, sisters and Accepted whose paths crossed hers in galleries, in the stables, and on the roads out of the city. In those years army camps and refugee camps sat in the countryside around Tar Valon, near enough that the Tower could not overlook them. Within that crowded world Alanna kept her place, her days ordered by the Tower's discipline and its walls.
