The Age of Legends is an Age of the distant past, and some say the old tales of Lenn and his daughter Salya come from the Age before it.
In Emond's Field it surfaces only in gossip and in a gleeman's patter. Mat repeats a wool-buyer's guard who said the Dragon will be reborn to save mankind, and Perrin scoffs that the man probably promised a new Age of Legends to follow. Thom Merrilin offers tales of how it ended, of the Dragon and the Dark One as he tells it, and of the Time of Madness that tore the world apart.
