Triple Chocolate Cake

Wellston Private High School serves a three-layered chocolate cake that students in unOrdinary go to considerable lengths to get hold of. The cafeteria puts out only a limited number of slices, and only once a month, which is enough to make the cake one of the most reliable sources of conflict on campus. Anyone who wants a slice has to be there when it is served and then hold on to it, and at a school where standing is settled by ability level, holding on to anything is rarely simple. Slices change hands, get claimed by whoever outranks the student carrying the tray, and now and then hit the floor before anybody gets to eat them.
