Royals

Nearly every school in unOrdinary maintains a ranked group of its strongest ability users, known collectively as the Royals. Membership is a status symbol inside the school and outside it, and Royals hold privileges that ordinary students do not, though the position carries duties as well: they represent their school in Turf Wars and are expected to keep order among the student body. The titles borrow from a deck of cards. The Ace is the single strongest student, male or female, who declines the King or Queen title. The King is the strongest male student and holds authority over everyone below him, including the school press and what it publishes. The Queen is the strongest female student and holds similar authority. The Jack, chosen jointly by the King and Queen, ranks below the other three and is still counted among the school's elite.
