Royal Guard

Royal Guard is one of the defensive abilities in unOrdinary, and it works by covering the user's body in armor the color of their signature aura. How much of the body it protects depends on the user's level: an elite-tier can produce full protective gear from the neck down, while a high-tier can fortify the head as well. Vital organs are shielded against physical blows and projectiles alike, and the ability carries a power boost, so a user can dish out punishment as well as take it. Its weakness is speed, since faster abilities outclass it and leave the user standing their ground rather than maneuvering. A strong enough opponent can break the armor, extreme temperatures cause problems, and because the armor dulls pain, burns and cuts that seem superficial land all at once the moment the user powers down.
