Jugyeong's Mother

The Lim household in True Beauty is run by Jugyeong's mother, a constant presence in the family scenes that frame Jugyeong Lim's life away from school. She has short brown hair and dark brown eyes and is usually dressed for the house, in a turtleneck and sweatpants. She makes little secret of having favourites among her three children. Her eldest, Heegyeong, earned top grades and a place at the best university without ever attending cram school, which their mother mentions with pride. Her youngest, Juyoung, goes to cram school and brings home low marks, and she lets that pass. Her middle daughter gets neither allowance, and their relationship is strained over Jugyeong's hobbies, her interests and where her schooling is heading.
