Wind Island

Sailors of the Eastern Continent tell of an island no one returns from, and they name it twice over: Wind Island, also called the Grave of Wind Blades, one of the continent's Three Restricted Areas. The legend is precise about what happens to trespassers; whoever sets foot there dies, and the corpse left behind carries an endless count of slashes. The island is one of a pair of twins, its sibling ordinary and inhabited, while Wind Island itself stands wrapped in tens of thousands of whirlwinds and flying blades of wind that make the legend easy to believe. Like the continent's other restricted places it simply sits on the map, avoided and unexplained, a hole in common knowledge.
