The Roan Kingdom is home ground for Trash of the Count's Family: the Henituse family, whose trash son Cale wakes up as, holds a county in its northeast. Among the kingdoms of the Western Continent it claims the longest history, yet it is a modest power, excelling with neither knights nor mages. Its land earns it the name Land of Boulders; it is the continent's greatest source of marble, and granite peaks crowd its north and west. It keeps no national religion, the royal family preferring a careful distance from the Church of the Sun God. Askosan, Norland, Breck, the Mogoru Empire, and Whipper sit at its borders, and the Forest of Darkness, a forbidden region, presses against its edge. Alberu Crossman, the crown prince, stands first among the princes maneuvering around its throne.
