Paseton

The sea delivers characters to Trash of the Count's Family in strange ways, and Paseton arrives poisoned and pleading. He is the youngest child of Shickler, king of the Whale Tribe, and the only mixed blood member of that proud people, a distinction that has made his life in the ocean genuinely hard. Whale skin is famously beautiful and tough; his is not, which is how mermaid venom nearly kills him. Cale Henituse finds him in desperate shape beneath the sea, hunted and racing to carry word of something he considers worth dying for. In human form Paseton looks to be in his gentle early twenties, blue haired and blue eyed like his formidable older sister Witira; in whale form he is a humpback like her, though small and weak beside hers. What he lacks in strength he covers in earnestness.
