Flame Dwarf Tribe

Dwarves in Trash of the Count's Family divide along an unusual line: what they choose to build. The Flame Dwarf Tribe stands best-known for mechanical devices, machines of steel and moving parts, while remaining notably bad at the magical devices other dwarves favor. They are a people who work iron and cannot live without handling fire, short but heavily muscled even by dwarven standards, and dwarves as a race are strong to begin with. Their standing among the powers around them is less comfortable than their craft deserves; larger and fiercer neighbors have a habit of either harassing them or looking straight through them, and the tribe has learned to bend with whichever wind blows hardest. A chief leads them. Where their machines appear in the story, trouble is rarely far behind.
