West of the Roan Kingdom sits the Breck Kingdom, a state with a reputation built on two quiet strengths: mages and farmland. It is known across the Western Continent for the quality of its magic users, and it ranks among the most agriculturally developed kingdoms anywhere on the continent. The two kingdoms share a border, which keeps Breck's affairs close to home. Its royal family supplies one of the central figures: Rosalyn, the former crown princess, walks away from the succession to pursue magic, and her younger brother, Prince John, stands as heir in her place. For a kingdom of its standing it enters gently, mostly through the people it produces rather than through its own crises.
