The Futuristic City is an advanced metropolis in the game Three Body, built by a civilization with particle accelerators and spaceflight, buried by a sandstorm in the game's cycle of collapses.

The Futuristic City is a location from Three Body, the virtual reality game running through Liu Cixin's The Three-Body Problem. The game's world moves through cycle after cycle of numbered civilizations, each growing during mild Stable Eras and falling to the extremes of Chaotic Eras. The Futuristic City belongs to one of the most advanced of those attempts: a skyline of towering structures raised by a civilization that has reached particle accelerators and spacefaring technology, the game world's counterpart to a modern or near-future Earth city. Its recorded end comes by sandstorm, when violent collisions of heat and cold raise winds fierce enough to shatter skyscrapers and bury the city under the desert.
