Star Helix Security is the corporation that serves as both police force and military garrison on Ceres Station, and the employer of Miller and his partner Havelock.
Its main station house is dug into the rock three levels below the asteroid's skin and runs two kilometers square. Captain Shaddid, the corporation's site manager, assigns Miller, on top of his usual work, to a separate contract the company has taken on beside its Ceres assignment. Off duty, its officers drink at the Distinguished Hyacinth Lounge, a cop bar they share with smaller corporate forces such as Protogen and Pinkwater.
