Sol gate is the name of a structure that belongs to a later time. It has no place in the days when the Solar System is entirely humanity's own, divided among Earth under the United Nations, an independent military Mars, and the working stations of the Belt, with tensions running through all three after the destruction of the ice hauler Canterbury.
