An octogenarian couple native to Earth, Santichai and Melissa Supitayaporn represent the Church of Humanity Ascendant and coordinate relief work.
Santichai Supitayaporn runs a relief depot on Ganymede with his wife Melissa, who reckons they have been on the moon for close to ten years. Their church holds no belief in the supernatural, only that humans can do better. Tiny, loud and quick to wag a finger, he gives James Holden a fierce telling-off over trouble with port customs, then darts across the warehouse to scold workers for stacking crates in the wrong place.
