Rini Glaudin is an old Belter, chief engineer and resident gearhead of the Storm, with a high-energy physics doctorate from Ceres Polytech and two decades in a UN prison for helping make bombs.
When Bobbie sends her video of a strange power cell and the spheres it feeds, Rini answers sounding sleepy or drunk, then swears and starts thinking aloud about the old puzzle of what powers the Magnetar-class ships. After studying them, she is almost certain the spheres hold antimatter, made practical at last.
