A research station on Saturn's moon Phoebe, run jointly by the Protogen corporation and the Martian Naval Scientific Service, built to Martian military standards and staffed by a few hundred people.
Phoebe Station is a research installation on Phoebe, an outer moon of Saturn. It is run as a joint project between the Protogen corporation and the Martian Naval Scientific Service, with Martian naval staff supporting the researchers and a total population of a few hundred. The base shows its military origins in its bones. Corridors are hardened against background radiation and painted in Martian Navy colors, each hallway marked with its installation order, structural specifications and replacement date, the walls coated in the same anti-spalling material used on MCRN ships. Staff sleep four bunks to a rack around a shared head, and the mess serves food that tastes of Mars: hot chili peppers, hydroponic fruit and vacuum-sealed ramen.
