The Morrigan-class is the smallest warship the Martian Congressional Republic Navy operates, designed to be cheap and built in numbers. It sits between a torpedo boat and a frigate and does a corvette's work: territorial patrol, customs inspection, fast attack. Cheap does not mean crude, though. Martian yards still fit the class with current equipment, which lets a Morrigan trade fire with ships well above its weight, and some hulls carry radar-reflective stealth panels and heat sinks. Martian battleships carry them internally and put them out where they are wanted. Their habit is to work in groups, which turns a flotilla of them into something fast, numerous and awkward to answer.
