The Mariner Valley Transit System is a cable tram network on Mars, connecting cities and outposts along the length of the Mariner Valley. It runs on transit pods, high-speed cars that ride cables strung across valleys or threaded through tunnels bored into the mountains. Six lines make up the network, stacked across several vertical levels and named for their terminal stations: Aurorae Sinus, Innis Shallows, Martineztown, Nariman and Salton. The system is operated by Mariner Valley Transportation and runs all day, carrying Martians between destinations.
