A military force of a later age.
The Laconian Imperial Navy is the name of a military force that belongs to a later age. Nothing like it exists in the days when the fleets are the United Nations Navy of Earth, the Martian Congressional Republic Navy, and the improvised armed ships of the Belt, all contending inside a single Solar System while James Holden and the crew of the Rocinante thread between them. The name itself says only what kind of thing this is, a navy in service to something called Laconia. Where that navy comes from, what it flies, and what it wants all belong to that later age.
