The Jupiter Trojans are a large group of asteroids that share Jupiter's orbit around the sun, gathered around two of the stable Lagrangian points in that orbit: L4, sixty degrees ahead of the planet, and L5, sixty degrees behind it. They sit in two elongated, curved clouds around those points, with an average semi-major axis of about 5.2 astronomical units.
