A warship of a later age.
The Heart of the Tempest is the name of a warship that belongs to a later age. In the days of a single divided Solar System, the fleets are Earth's United Nations Navy, the Martian Congressional Republic Navy, and the improvised armed ships of the Belt, with James Holden and the crew of the Rocinante moving among all three. The Heart of the Tempest is no part of that world. Whose ship she is, what she is built to do, and what follows in her wake all belong to that later age, and the name is best treated as a marker pointing there.
